This page is intended for OCINet Participant Privacy Offices and operational teams. It provides access to the shared privacy policies and forms required under the OCINet Data Sharing Agreement.
OCINet’s Participant Privacy Manual is intended for the hospitals and independent community health service centres (ICHSCs) that receive services from OCINet and who are OCINet Participants. The Manual has three parts:
- A Background on OCINet services and summary of the material obligations and privacy laws that apply to OCINet and the Participants when collecting, using, disclosing, storing or retaining personal health information (PHI) or personal information (PI) in the custodianship of Participants for purposes associated with OCINet services.
- Shared Policies that OCINet and the Participants must comply with as established by the OCINet Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) in order to capture any new or updated privacy requirements identified and approved over time.
- A list of Support Materials intended to be used by OCINet and Participants in relation to the Shared Policies.
