About PACS
A picture archiving and communication system (PACS) is a healthcare technology solution that is used to capture, store, distribute, and display medical images for interpretation or review.
OCINet manages three regional PACS implementations across the province, using technology either from Agfa or Change Healthcare/Optum.
Sharing a PACS not only brings economies of scale, but also ensures imaging studies created by any of the enterprise users is readily available to the other users. This streamlines the clinician experience and optimizes the provision of care to the patient.
