Accountability

OCINet is an independent, not-for-profit corporation funded by Ontario Health. OCINet’s board of directors and leadership team are fully committed to fairness and transparency.

OCINet has an established, multi-layered, and board-approved financial framework and reporting structure designed to respect and conserve healthcare resources and to prudently balance costs with quality.

OCINet makes financial decisions based on whether the investment adheres to strategic priorities, aligns with government objectives, and/or supports connected hospitals and integrated community health services centres (also known as independent health facilities) in delivering better care.

OCINet discloses its financials to promote integrity, trust, and a deeper understanding of the value it provides and to align with Ontario’s Broader Public Sector Accountability Act.

Policy for Expense Reimbursement

OCINet’s expense reimbursement policy establishes the principles, mandatory requirements and guidelines for reimbursing individuals for travel, accommodation, meals, and other reasonable expenses incurred on behalf of OCINet.
